How To Turn JavaScript On or Off: Konqueror

To enable or disable JavaScript in Konqueror, or to check it's status, simply follow these steps.....

1: Open Konqueror and click Settings from the main menu, then click the Configure Konqueror menu item.

2: The Configure - Konqueror dialogue box should now be visible. Click the Java & JavaScript icon on the left hand side, click the JavaScript tab, then look for the checkbox that says Enable JavaScript Globally.

• To turn on (enable) JavaScript make sure the checkbox is selected , if not then click inside the checkbox to enable.
• To turn off (disable) JavaScript make sure the checkbox is empty , if not then click inside the checkbox to disable.

3: Konqueror also has several other settings under the Global JavaScript Settings heading which should be set to default unless you are experienced. The following settings are default:

• Open New Windows - Smart
• Resize Window - Allow
• Move Window - Allow
• Focus Window - Allow
• Modify Status Bar Text - Allow

4: When you have finished altering settings, click Apply and then OK to make the changes effective and close the Configure - Konqueror dialogue box.
