How To Turn JavaScript On or Off: Safari

To enable or disable JavaScript in Safari, or to check it's status, simply follow these steps.....

1: Open Safari and click Edit from the main menu, then click the Preferences menu item.

2: The Settings dialogue box should now be visible. Click the Security icon, then look for the checkbox that says Enable JavaScript (under the Web Content heading).

• To turn on (enable) JavaScript make sure the checkbox has a tick , if not then click inside the checkbox to enable.
• To turn off (disable) JavaScript make sure the checkbox is empty , if not then click inside the checkbox to disable.

3: When you have finished altering settings, click the grey X at the top right hand corner to apply changes and close the Settings dialogue box.
