Change Your Browser Language Settings: Opera

To change your language preferences, or to add a language in Opera Web Browser, simply follow these steps.....

1: Open Opera and click Tools from the main menu, then click the Preferences menu item.

2: The Preferences dialogue box should now be visible. Click the General tab, then click the Details... button beside the Language heading.

3: The Languages dialogue box should now be visible showing your current language defaults.

  • To add a language (as shown in the image below), click the Add... button and continue to step 4
  • To make changes to your existing language preferences, or to remove a language, skip to step 5

4: The Accept Language dialogue box should now be visible. Use the Scroll Bar to find your desired language, then Select it with your mouse and click OK.

5: Your chosen language(s) should now be visible in the Languages dialogue box.

  • To make a language your first preference, Select it with your mouse, then click the Up button until it reaches the top position.
  • To change the preference of another language, Select it with your mouse, then click the Up or Down button to the desired position. The order is from top to bottom (top position is first preference).
  • To remove a language, Select it with your mouse, then click the Remove button.

6: When you have finished altering the settings, click the OK button on the Languages dialogue box, then click OK to the Preferences dialogue box. You have now changed your language preferences.
